Left side views of a male (upper) and female of Candonopsis tenuis , length of male approximately 1 mm. Note the eggs developing in the female. In Japan this species has been reported living along the shores of the southern basin of Lake Biwa. Elsewhere, it is known from Australia, Indonesia, Samoa and Tonga.
