A dorsal view of an open carapace of Cypris sp. ("Cypris subglobosa"), length about 1 mm. It has a global circumtropical distribution and in Japan it has been reported from rice fields, ponds and the shoreline of Lake Biwa. (Click on the image to view the next one in the series.)
