A sketch of a female Limnocythere kamiyai, demonstrating its lifestyle. It lives in Lake Biwa in the top few millimeters of sandy sediment at shallow depths. The fish is a bluegill sunfish, an omnivorous invasive species from north America. The image was drawn for a Japanese language children's publication produced by the Lake Biwa Museum.
