  Career
Graduated in marine bioscience from the Department of Bioscience, Fukui Prefectural University. Completed a postgraduate course in marine bioscience at the Department of Bioscience, Fukui Prefectural University. Obtained a doctoral degree in fisheries science at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kinki University in 2011. In 2003 became a Shiga Prefectural employee (fisheries) at the Shiga Prefecture Fisheries Experiment Station. From April 2011, started work at the Lake Biwa Museum.

1. Cold water disease of ayu.
2. Prevention and treatments of fish diseases.
3. Nutrition requirements of fish and crustaceans.
