I graduated with a degree and master's degree in geography from Kyoto University's Literature Department. I have been working at the Lake Biwa Museum since May, 1996.

   Specialty
1. Traditional resource utilization and the changes in the Lake Biwa water system.
2. Utilization of tool data in the museum.
3. Regional museums as the centers of regional cultural networks.

  Key Words of Research
Culture of freshwater fish cuisine, dyeing and weaving, learning from past lifestyles, mission of museums, application of museum data theory, cooperation with people.
