  Career
I graduated from Ehime University's Science Department with a degree in zoology and from Mie University with a masters degree in marine products. Since 1984 I have been working for the Lake Biwa Museum.

   Specialty
1. The Biwa salmon and the 'amago' subspecies of cherry salmon which inhabit the Lake Biwa watershed.
2. Geographical distribution and reproduction of charr that live in the Lake Biwa watershed.
3. Mating behaviour of gobies.
