Graduated from the Department of Biological Resources Management, School of Environmental Science, University of Shiga Prefecture.
Completed a doctoral course at the Graduate School of Environmental Science, University of Shiga Prefecture.
After working as a curator at the Taga Town Museum, joined the Lake Biwa Museum in April 2011.
1. Ecology and conservation of fish that use rice fields.
2. The distribution patterns of fish and bivalves in Shiga Prefecture.
3. Habitats of rare freshwater fish and bivalve species, and the links to conservation activities.
4. Wildlife conservation and environmental education that utilize the museum.
